A typical melanoma starts as a mole that changes its structure, shape, size, and colour or a mole that is asymmetric, bleeds or itches. A dermatoscope magnifies and illuminates the mole, making it possible to observe changes typical of a healthy or irregular dysplastic mole, or skin cancer.
The examination of moles is painless. Early detection is vital and can reduce the risk of advanced types of skin cancer or save life!
