The application of botulinum toxin (type A) is mainly used for removal of mimic wrinkles on face, neck and décolleté.
Botox works to relax the contraction of muscles by blocking nerve impulses, resulting in muscles that can no longer contract. Consequently, the formation of new wrinkles is stopped and the existing ones relax and soften. The effect is temporary thus there is no risk of a permanent paralysis of the muscle.
The effect of the Botox treatment lasts anywhere from 3-4 months after the first treatment and up to 6-10 months if the procedure is repeated, but individual results may vary.
Botulinum toxin removes:
- Mimic (dynamic wrinkles) on forehead, base of the nose, around eyes, on the neck and in the area of décolleté
- Small facial asymmetries
- Perioral lines
- Excessive underarm perspiration, palms and feet perspiration
Botox application is not difficult or time consuming. We apply the substance to a problematic area using a very fine needle. This is a one day surgery treatment and no preparation from the client’s side is needed. Botox is safe as it is not absorbed in the bloodstream; it does not affect the body, only the muscles into which it is injected. The final effect occurs during the period of 2-7 days after the first application. To enhance a perfect rejuvenation effect, it is recommended that you combine Botox with fillers, laser skin smoothing and plastic surgery.
